Job description
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for supporting and implementing DevOps capabilities to support a large web application development effort for a federal client. The candidate will ensure Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) controls and processes are followed for application code released into non-production and production environments. Candidate should have experience with container application platforms / Platform as a Service (PaaS), including OpenShift. The ideal candidate will be a jack of all trades technologist with the ability to pick up new skills quickly., Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASMâs overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
Requirements

Bachelorâs Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, other relevant field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Advanced computing certification preferred.

5-10 years of experience in Systems Engineering/Analysis
Other Job Specific Skills
-
2+ yearsâ experience using Java development tools (e.g., Eclipse, JUnit, Git)
-
2+ years of work experience with Web development technologies (JavaScript, HTML, JSP, etc.)
-
1+ yearsâ experience using Kubernetes
-
1+ yearsâ experience using OpenShift
-
Must be able to provide ad hoc support after standard business hours and over the weekend

Ability to report onsite 2-3x a week in Columbia, MD

Final DoD Secret Security Clearance

Ability to elicit, analyze, document, and validate the system requirements that support the required system changes to meet the business need.

Must have the ability to work under aggressive deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize as necessary.

Strong skills in IT fundamentals including, but not limited to: server administration, networking, database support/administration, infrastructure support, and IT security design.

Demonstrated ability to provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

Ability to work with various programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms.

Proven ability to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complicated technical issues.

Demonstrated capability to creatively solve complex requirements needs.
