Job description

The Infrastructure Architect II provides engineering support for the installation, configuration, sustainment, and modernization of enterprise network and infrastructure services supporting the Department of the Air Force’s Defensive Cyberspace Operations Weapon Systems. The position maintains secure, reliable, and highly available infrastructure supporting 24x7 cyber operations while ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF, and DISA STIGs., * Install, configure, and maintain enterprise infrastructure supporting DCO Weapon Systems.

  • Support physical, virtual, cloud, IaaS, and PaaS environments.
  • Assist with infrastructure modernization and technology refresh efforts.
  • Maintain networking, Windows/Linux servers, VMware, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Perform upgrades, patching, backup/recovery validation, performance monitoring, and configuration management.
  • Support DISA STIG implementation, RMF activities, vulnerability remediation, and A&A efforts.
  • Coordinate with ISSOs, ISSMs, and Government stakeholders.
  • Support Tier II infrastructure operations, outage response, maintenance windows, COOP activities, and mission travel.
  • Support Checklist-as-Code, scripting, workflow automation, and process improvements.
  • Develop SOPs, maintain engineering documentation, and support enterprise standardization.

Requirements

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field. Additional experience may substitute for education. Certification: CEH, CFR, Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, or Legacy Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with networking, Windows/Linux, VMware, cloud infrastructure, storage, backup/recovery, monitoring, and patch management.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Federal, or large enterprise environments preferred., * Experience architecting and sustaining enterprise infrastructure for Department of the Air Force DCO systems, DAFIN-SOC environments, or comparable 24x7 cyber mission operations.
  • Advanced expertise with VMware, hybrid cloud platforms, enterprise storage, Windows/Linux systems, network security technologies, and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing DISA STIGs, supporting RMF and A&A activities, automating compliance through Checklist-as-Code, and maintaining secure, highly available DoD infrastructure., Air Force, Ansible, Automation, CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate, CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker, Cloud Computing, Cloud Storage, Code of Federal Regulations, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Configuration Management, Cyberspace, Data Recovery, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Government, High Availability, Hybrid Cloud, Information Technology & Information Systems, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Internet Security, Linux Operating System, Maintain Compliance, Microsoft Windows Operating System, Microsoft Windows Server, Network Administration/Management, Network Security, Performance Analysis, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Python Programming/Scripting Language, SSCP - Systems Security Certified Practitioner, Security Clearance, Security Infrastructure, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Software Patches, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Support Documentation, Technical Support, Top Secret Clearance, United States Department of Defense (DoD), VMWare, Windows PowerShell
