Job description
Akkodis is seeking an Embedded Controls Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Allen Park, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate with experience designing, developing, and validating safety-critical automotive embedded systems, translating system requirements into reliable software solutions., * Design, develop, and validate embedded software for automotive control systems, ensuring compliance with functional, performance, and safety requirements.
- Develop embedded applications and AUTOSAR software components using C/C++ while supporting integration, debugging, and optimization on target hardware.
- Create and maintain MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow models for vehicle control features, including simulation, verification, and code generation activities.
- Conduct SIL, MIL, and HIL testing using tools such as Vector CANoe to verify functionality, reliability, and system performance.
- Analyze and troubleshoot embedded system issues involving CAN/LIN communication, real-time processing, and hardware-software interactions to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, validation, and vehicle engineering teams throughout the embedded software development lifecycle, from requirements definition through production release., The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development, Embedded Systems Engineering, or Automotive Software Development.
- Strong expertise in Embedded C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, AUTOSAR, CAN/LIN communication protocols, and the complete embedded software development lifecycle.
- Proven experience with automotive ECU development, SIL/MIL/HIL testing, Vector CANoe, requirements-based development, debugging real-time embedded systems, and validating software for safety-critical automotive applications.
Benefits & conditions
Rate Range: $44/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors., Pay Details: $44.00 to $50.00 per hour
