Backend Data Management Terraform

Job description

Define and lead the long-term technical roadmap for the company’s Lakehouse Platform
Architect and implement capabilities for secure and user-friendly analytical data management
Design and maintain governance and secure access controls for the data platform
Enhance analytics engineering through improved data modeling and quality practices
Establish best practices for lakehouse operations at scale
Optimize analytical compute and storage performance and cost efficiency
Collaborate with various teams to translate business needs into technical architecture

Requirements

8+ years in software engineering or data infrastructure, with 2+ years in technical leadership roles
Hands-on leadership experience in building data infrastructure teams
Proficiency with Snowflake or similar analytical data warehouses, especially in access control and query optimization
Strong working knowledge of Apache Iceberg, Spark, and cloud-native data lake architectures
Experience with dbt or equivalent frameworks, focusing on data modeling and CI/CD practices
Programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages with a focus on production-quality systems
Familiarity with Terraform or equivalent for managing data infrastructure
