Job description

The Software Engineer-ELB role is central to designing and operating a scalable, resilient ingress data plane that supports the organization’s global service mesh and load balancing infrastructure. This position ensures system stability and performance, enabling the delivery of real-time insights critical to customer success. The role involves advancing infrastructure automation and collaborating across teams to enhance platform reliability and innovation.

  1. Responsibilities:
  • Design and operate a scalable, resilient ingress data plane.

  • Maintain global service mesh and load balancing solutions both on-premises and in multi-cloud environments.

  • Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code to accelerate development and deployment.

  • Enhance DNS and CDN infrastructure for high performance.

  • Collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to foster cross-team excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Go or Python programming.

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.

  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, HTTP, and TCP.

  • Understanding of Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Envoy or similar service mesh/L7 proxy platforms.

  • Familiarity with observability tools like New Relic, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.

  • Experience with Azure Cloud Networking.

  • Estimated base pay range: $114,000 to $142,000 USD.
