You’ll Be Responsible For
- Designing and building scalable cloud-based data platforms.
- Creating robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data services.
- Developing analytical datasets, dashboards and business intelligence solutions.
- Building APIs and trusted data products for enterprise clients.
- Supporting machine learning and AI initiatives through high-quality data architecture.
- Establishing governance, lineage, quality and observability standards across the data estate.
- Working closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science and Leadership teams to influence strategic decisions.
- Helping define the long-term data architecture and operating model of the business.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and operating production-grade data platforms.
- Advanced SQL and data modelling skills.
- Hands-on AWS experience within modern data environments.
- Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-native data solutions.
- Exposure to modern BI and analytics tooling such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar.
- Experience supporting Machine Learning or AI workloads through robust data engineering practices.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, lineage and observability.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence technical direction.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets within enterprise environments.
Any experience with Machine Learning, Statistical Modelling, AI Systems, Agentic AI or MLOps would be highly beneficial., * Lead Data Engineer - Fully Remote (UK) - AWS - AI & Machine Learning - Up to £110k
