Job description
Our iKnow and Edit platforms are trusted by 1,000s of organisations across the UK to help them communicate, stay organised, and support their mission. They range from small single location charities up to charities with over ÂŁ70m a year in income. We started off working with churches but now work with many different types of charities around the UK.
Our software includes our Edit website builder and our iKnow admin software that is available in a number of different brands. This past year we have launched safeguarding software that we are told is market leading for managing concerns and checks. We want to continually build new features and support our growing customer base.
At our heart, weâre a small, dedicated team who care deeply about creating tools that empower our charites to flourish. Whether a charity is building community, caring for members, or reaching out to their local area, our software is designed to help them do it well.
Weâre looking for a talented, experienced Senior Developer who wants their skills to make a real difference. If youâre energised by building intuitive, meaningful software - and love the idea of your work supporting charities every day - then weâd love to meet you.
As a core part of our development team, youâll work on our two major platforms:
- Edit
- iKnow Our products are continually evolving, so youâll be helping to shape new features, refine existing ones, and innovate in ways that genuinely help charity teams and volunteers. Being part of a small team means your work wonât disappear into the background. Youâll regularly see the visible impact of the features you build - often receiving direct feedback from the customers whose day-to-day work is made easier because of what youâve created. Weâre passionate about crafting quality software, and weâre looking for someone who shares that passion, with at least 5 yearsâ experience in a commercial development environment . Here are a few things Developers have said about working at Edit Websites: âGoing from a larger company who had no idea what they were doing from top to bottom to a smaller company who know exactly what they are doing in every aspect.â âAs a small company, your work will have immediate impact upon the real users. Your ideas about improvements will be seriously listened to, without being dismissed out of hand. Managers actually listen to what you are saying, and actual have an idea what you are talking aboutâ âWorking as a developer with Edit Websites is a rewarding experience, allowing me to work on a variety of challenges from small changes to whole module redesigns, which constantly encourages personal growth and learning. Working within such a friendly team also creates a unique positive, supportive and collaborative atmosphere.â
