Job description

Systems Engineer needed for a full time opportunity with SOC’s direct client onsite in Ft. Meade, MD. Direct Hire Role Due to federal requirements, candidates must hold and possess an Active DOW TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph to be considered for this role. SOC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex mission-critical systems within a secure government environment. The ideal candidate will perform systems engineering activities throughout the system lifecycle, including defining system requirements, developing system architectures, supporting integration and acceptance testing, and ensuring overall system performance. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and mission-focused solutions that meet customer objectives. Job Responsibilities:

  • Support systems engineering activities throughout the complete system lifecycle.
  • Develop system architectures, interface definitions, and performance requirements.
  • Assist with system integration, installation, testing, verification, and acceptance activities.
  • Analyze technical requirements and evaluate system performance to ensure mission success.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, technical reports, and system design artifacts.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and integration teams to deliver system capabilities.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with systems engineering processes, system design, integration, and verification.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering methodologies, requirements management, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, or similar modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with systems integration, performance analysis, and test planning.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community engineering programs.
  • Knowledge of systems lifecycle management, configuration management, and Agile engineering practices.
