Job description
We are seeking a Senior Systems Software Engineer with strong expertise in C++, Python, and Linux systems programming to support engineering productivity, release quality, and system reliability. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex system-level problems, improving internal tooling, and working across storage, infrastructure, testing, and release engineering environments., * Develop and maintain high-performance software using C++, C, and Python.
- Debug and resolve complex issues involving Linux systems, storage platforms, and distributed environments.
- Improve engineering productivity by enhancing internal tools, automation, and development workflows.
- Analyze recurring test failures and implement scalable solutions to improve triage efficiency.
- Enhance release health, test execution reliability, and engineering operational metrics.
- Build and maintain automation around Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and release infrastructure.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve debugging, issue classification, and workflow automation.
- Work with Git-based development workflows, including branching, code reviews, and version control.
- Contribute to AI-assisted and automated engineering triage initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve overall engineering efficiency.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with distributed systems, storage technologies, Linux internals, CI/CD infrastructure, and debugging complex production or test failures., * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming experience in C++, C, and Python.
- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and systems programming.
- Experience with distributed systems, storage systems, or infrastructure software.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Multithreading
- Concurrency
- Synchronization
- Memory Management
- Operating System fundamentals
- Experience with Git, source control, and collaborative software development.
- Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
- Proven experience debugging complex software, infrastructure, or system-level issues.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Linux Kernel concepts.
- Knowledge of storage technologies such as NVMe, SAN, NAS, or file systems.
- Experience with distributed storage or large-scale infrastructure platforms.
- Experience improving engineering productivity, developer tooling, or release engineering processes.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and engineering operations.
