Job description

We are looking for a full-stack Software Engineer to join our Investment Analytics Engineering team. In this role, you will build and enhance applications, services, and analytics platforms used by our investment analytics and portfolio management teams.

Our systems support critical investment workflows and deliver analytics used by portfolio managers, researchers, internal stakeholders, and external clients. Your work will have direct visibility and impact across the firm.

This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving challenging technical problems involving large datasets, scalable systems, cloud infrastructure, and intuitive user-facing applications. You will work closely with business experts and other engineers to design and deliver high-quality software that supports our post-trade analysis systems.

Our evolving technology stack includes .NET 8/C#, Python, Angular, HTML/JavaScript, AWS S3, DynamoDB, EKS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitLab. We are pragmatic about technology choices and are always looking for better tools and approaches. If you enjoy bringing ideas to the table, you will have the opportunity to help shape our platform and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and enhance middle-tier application services supporting investment analytics workflows.
  • Develop scalable tools and services for processing, analyzing, and delivering investment data.
  • Build and improve web applications used by internal investment and analytics teams.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, researchers, and business users to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the architecture and long-term evolution of our systems.
  • Improve installation, deployment, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work with cloud-based infrastructure and modern software delivery practices.
  • Use Python, C#, and related technologies to automate workflows and create robust analytical applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team efforts to improve software quality and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Professional software development experience.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of problems and drive them to resolution.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Basic understanding of asset management is a plus but not required.
  • 4+ years of professional programming experience with Python.
  • Experience building production-quality applications or services using Python, C#, or a similar language.
  • Experience developing in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with database technologies.
  • Familiarity with modern web application development using Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and source control systems such as GitLab.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar tools.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with investment data, financial analytics, or portfolio management systems is a plus.
