Test Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Test Engineer for a leading commercial kitchen technology client. This candidate will join a manufacturing engineering team supporting the testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electronic products. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working on both the software and hardware sides of engineering. This role is highly hands-on, requiring the ability to run and troubleshoot code, perform soldering, and support testing activities in a production setting. Candidates with a strong engineering foundation, a passion for problem-solving, and an interest in manufacturing operations will be well-positioned for success in this opportunity.

• Support testing and validation of electronic products and assemblies
• Run, troubleshoot, and make basic modifications to software used in testing environments
• Perform hands-on soldering, debugging, and hardware troubleshooting
• Assist with manufacturing and production support activities
• Analyze test results and identify product or process improvements
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency Follow manufacturing safety standards and best practices while working with shop equipment

• 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred; Mechanical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or related discipline accepted)
• Software-focused engineering background
• Ability to run and troubleshoot code, with Python knowledge at a minimum
• Hands-on soldering experience
• Basic knowledge of shop and manufacturing safety procedures
• Experience safely operating or working around drilling machines, sizing equipment, and belt sanders Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• PCB and electronic assembly experience
• LabVIEW and/or TestStand experience
• Experience with electronic troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI)
