Job description
UL Solutions is seeking a Product Owner to join an experienced development team and define the vision and roadmap for our Manufacturing Execution System (MES), specifically developed for the cable and wire industry. The role follows a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 from home) and is based in Warsaw, Poland., * Define and communicate the product vision, value, and overall context to guide development decisions Work closely with the Product Manager and engineering teams, following Agile principles, to:
- Define requirements and user stories
- Incorporate feature requests
- Estimate development effort
- Prioritise and maintain the backlog
- Contribute to roadmap management and release planning in collaboration with the Product Manager
- Partner with UI/UX designers to develop wireframes and prototypes supporting user stories and product demonstrations
- Support sprint planning and collaborate with the Scrum Master to ensure delivery commitments are met and prioritisation is clear
- Provide ongoing support to the development team by refining user stories and advising on priorities throughout the development cycle
- Monitor industry best practices and suggest continuous improvements to processes and efficiency
- Organise and lead end-of-sprint demonstrations for internal stakeholders, validate completed features, and support release decisions
- Contribute to the creation of product documentation (e.g. release notes, online help content) Take ownership of personal development and career progression in alignment with business needs
- Support cross-functional collaboration within a matrix environment
- Contribute to effective product lifecycle processes, including development, release management, and product support
- Use standard product management and software development tools effectively
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience within a cable and wire manufacturing environment, preferably in production, process, or quality roles. Exposure to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) would be an advantage.
- Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to lead stakeholder discussions and drive outcomes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Familiarity with relevant tools, including:
- Product design: InVision, Zeplin
- Development/task management: Jira, Azure DevOps
- Documentation: Confluence, SharePoint
- Collaboration: Microsoft Teams, Slack
- Roadmap/portfolio management: Aha!, Daptiv
- Scrum/Agile training or certification strongly preferred
- Product Management training or certification is a plus
- Experience working with remote teams is advantageous
Benefits & conditions
We understand that compensation is an important consideration as you plan your next career move. The base salary range for this position in Poland is PLN 147,000 - PLN 195,900, and is determined based on multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. While this represents the typical range for the role, we may offer a higher salary for candidates with exceptional experience or expertise. This position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 10% of base salary.
