Job description

This role focuses on conducting functional and performance tests of chips on laboratory hardware and software verification platforms to fully evaluate whether the chips meet design specifications. Key responsibilities are detailed below:

  1. Provide design-for-testability (DFT) recommendations for products during the chip design phase.
  2. Develop test plans and test solutions based on an in-depth understanding of chip design requirements and specifications.
  3. Build test systems in accordance with test solutions, including evaluation boards (EVB) and test software.
  4. Verify chip functionality and performance on developed hardware and software in the laboratory, and deliver test reports.
  5. Work closely with the design team to conduct in-depth debugging on chip defects, including root cause identification, problem analysis, and proposal of solutions.
  6. Develop and compile chip datasheets.
  7. Assist in developing CP (Chip Probing) and FT (Final Test) solutions for chips.
  8. Assist in developing chip reliability test solutions.
  9. Take charge of partial customer support, FAE support, and product definition tasks.
  10. Lead project management and execution post chip tape-out until mass product release.

Requirements

  1. Master’s degree or above with 3-5 years of relevant working experience; Bachelor’s degree candidates should have 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  2. Solid knowledge of circuits, proficient in digital circuits and general analog circuits with strong circuit analysis and reasoning capabilities. Candidates familiar with analog circuits or RF circuits are preferred.
  3. Hands-on PCB design experience, especially for mixed-signal circuits or RF circuits.
  4. Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, LabVIEW, or C.
  5. Skilled in operating standard laboratory instruments, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, etc.
  6. Excellent cross-departmental communication and coordination skills; strong capability in document drafting, summarization, and report delivery.
  7. Good listening skills and empathy, capable of fully understanding customer requirements.
  8. Competent English communication skills.
