Design Engineers

Our Design Department is growing, and we are looking for Design staff at all levels to join us. The department is responsible for the design and technical specification of all our products, ensuring an engineered solution that meets customer requirements is produced. The positions deal with the design and project engineering of all our new and existing products. This covers initial concept ideas developed in connection with the Sales Department or customer, producing engineering drawings through to full workable designs supported by calculations or research., * Produce concepts and designs for the development of new and existing products using appropriate software.

• Accurately complete and maintain the “Bill of Materials” records within the company’s MRP system.
• Actively maintain material and component compliance records.
• Produce engineering drawings for the manufacture of parts and assemblies using appropriate software.
• Provide support on concept designs through written calculations as required.
• Work closely with manufacturing and interested parties to further develop WO instructions.
• Produce written specifications and procedures for existing and new products.
• Provide all technical support both internally and externally to customers and suppliers as required.

• PC literate. Previous experience using CAD / Solidworks software (highly/beneficial).
• Experience of an engineering environment.
• Microsoft office and ideally have experience of a MRP system., * HNC in an engineering subject, or relevant experience and time served in an engineering field.
• Confidence working with numbers and measurements. Maths & English GCSE Grade 4 (old C) or above.
