Want to build the tools that power engineers to move faster, ship smarter, and deliver with confidence?

At Evri, we’re investing in Developer Experience as a key driver of engineering excellence. As a DevEx Engineer, you’ll shape the tooling, pipelines, processes, and workflows that enable our teams to build, test, and release software efficiently at scale.

This is a high-impact role where your work will be felt across the entire engineering organisation.

Remote-first, with occasional collaboration days in Morley, Leeds

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll sit at the heart of engineering enablement, improving how developers build, test, and ship software every day.
  • Design and build internal tools, automation, and developer workflows
  • Optimise and scale CI/CD pipelines for performance, reliability, and speed
  • Enhance build, test, and release processes end-to-end
  • Identify and drive the removal of friction in all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed best practices and standards
  • Create reusable tooling, templates, and shared libraries
  • Improve observability, feedback loops, and developer insights
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline and tooling issues
  • Contribute to engineering enablement strategy and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Strong experience with CI/CD, build systems, deployment pipelines, and the principals of the “golden path”
  • Experience improving developer workflows and productivity
  • Ability to design and deliver scalable internal tooling and automation
  • Strong problem-solving skills across build, test, and release challenges
  • Comfortable working across teams and influencing engineering practices
  • Experience in platform engineering, DevEx, or engineering enablement
  • Practical Knowledge of the Continuous Delivery principals, familiar with the work of Jez Humble, Dave Farley, Bryan Finster etc.
  • Understanding of the DORA and SPACE metrics, and how to use them as signals to drive improvements
