Job description

  • Partner with Business Development and Solution Design teams during customer bids to propose cost-effective, implementable IT architectures that balance customization with standardization.
  • Collaborate with Business, Customer and IT stakeholders to translate operational workflows and requirements into IT solutions and specifications, minimizing non-standard configurations and promoting reusable components.
  • Lead the design of WMS solutions that integrate seamlessly with DHL’s standardized IT products (e.g., Centiro, TMS, WCS), ensuring alignment with operational best practices, business and customer requirements.
  • Lead the functional implementation of the IT solution in collaboration with the IT application consultants and developers, while executing hands-on the functional system configuration and testing.
  • Transparently share the configuration, development, and test progress with stakeholders. Proactively communicate on issues, risks, and scope changes, and suggest suitable mitigating actions.
  • Develop training materials and workshops to educate cross-functional teams on WMS capabilities, standardization policies, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior IT Solution Managers and Application Consultants, fostering expertise in WMS configuration, requirements elicitation, and stakeholder management
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess solution performance, user adoption, and operational efficiency, identifying opportunities for process refinement or additional training.

Requirements

As a Senior IT Solution Manager WMS, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of warehouse management IT solutions, from initial customer engagement and solution design to post-implementation optimization. Your expertise will ensure that DHL’s WMS solutions not only meet current operational and customer demands but also anticipate future needs through agile, reusable configurations. By collaborating with cross-functional teams-including Business Development, Solution Design, Operations, Operations Excellence, Customer and IT-you will champion standardization, reduce customization overhead, and elevate customer satisfaction through robust, maintainable systems. This role demands a strategic thinker with warehouse processes design experience combined with acumen in WMS platforms, a proven track record in implementing mid- to large-scale logistics IT projects, and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels., * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Expertise in designing and improving logistics warehouse processes
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing WMS solutions for mid- to large-scale, multi-site operations, including integration with ERP, TMS, and automation systems.
  • Experience in IT solution management, WMS functional configuration and testing
  • Pragmatic mindset with a focus on real-world solutions
  • Proficiency in business process modeling, requirements management tools, and Agile/Waterfall project frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of logistics KPIs (e.g., order accuracy, inventory turnover) and their translation into system configurations.
  • Strategic Influence: Ability to persuade stakeholders to adopt standardized solutions while addressing unique customer needs.
  • Analytical Rigor: Expertise in root-cause analysis, gap assessment, and cost-benefit modeling for IT solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Skilled in managing relationships with senior leadership, operations teams, and external clients.
  • Business fluency in French and in English
