Staff Product Manager - Private Cloud Director

We share context quickly and candidly to keep decisions moving., We are looking for a customer-focused staff product manager to drive the vision & execution for Platform9’s Private Cloud Director - our flagship private cloud management product that offers enterprises the best alternative to VMware, and that enables customers to manage their virtualized and Kubernetes infrastructure across private or co-location hosted data centers and edge locations. You will be the product owner of the platform that is setting a new standard for private clouds. You will work closely with Platform9 customers, engineering and GTM teams to define our product roadmap and then ensure it’s being executed. This role reports into our VP of Product., * Define and lead comprehensive product strategy development for Platform9’s private cloud infrastructure stack on virtualization and bare metal platforms in close collaboration with the Engineering leadership team.

• Work closely with Platform9 customers and users to build a deep understanding of their processes and pain points.
• Deep dive into industry and ecosystem to understand leading trends in virtualization and / or container orchestration in the industry.
• Transform your knowledge and expertise into defining innovative products and solutions that redefine how private cloud technology is consumed
• Work on complex business problems with a high level of ambiguity. Add clarity and context and details then transform them into products that make an impact on Platform9 GTM.
• Define metrics for customer engagement and product success and ensure measurement and execution. Present reports on metrics to management.
• Act as a trusted advisor for select Platform9 customers, communicate roadmap, enable successful product deployment and consumption.
• Work with the go-to-market team (sales, marketing) to enable sales by providing training on new features, collateral, battle cards, and other necessary content.
• Being the voice of our customers internally to the Platform9 team, proactively communicate requirements and influence product roadmap.
• Communicate best practices, reference architectures and other training material to customers
• Collaborating with the engineering team to lead public documentation for the products and / or components you own.

Do you have experience in Technical product management within tech?, * MS in Computer science or an equivalent degree with minimum 4 years of experience building enterprise software products

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, organization and presentation skills
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to lead through influence
• Proactive, energetic, creative, loves working on hard problems
• Highly organized, efficient at driving multiple projects with high priority and execute against strict deadlines
• Basic domain knowledge of virtualization and technologies such as VMware, Linux/KVM
• Background in any of the following is a plus: virtualization, containerization, private/public cloud
• Enjoy discovering customer use cases, identifying gaps and resolving issues in the product.
• Passion for cloud technologies
• A background of product management, sales engineering or customers success is a plus
