Security Architect

We’re looking for an experienced Security Architect to support the secure design and delivery of a Defence programme. This is a flexible, part time engagement, initially around two days per week, with the potential for increased demand during key project phases.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring solutions align with Defence Digital security standards and Secure by Design principles, while helping prepare systems for deployment into a MOD environment., * Provide security architecture guidance across software solutions, ensuring alignment with Defence Digital security standards.

• Advise on and embed Secure by Design principles throughout the development life cycle.
• Support the completion of security documentation and assurance activities required for deployment into MOD environments.
• Work closely with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure security best practices are consistently applied.
• Review solution designs and provide recommendations to improve security posture and compliance.
• Support security governance, risk management and assurance activities as required., Security Clearance
• Current DV Clearance is highly desirable.
• Candidates holding SC Clearance may be considered where appropriate mitigation is possible.

Contract Details

• part time engagement (approximately 2 days per week).
• Flexible drawdown arrangement with additional days during project peaks.
• Limited travel expected, primarily to London or RAF Wyton when required.

• Proven experience as a Security Architect or Cyber Security Consultant within Defence or Government.
• Strong understanding of Defence Digital security policies and secure system architecture.
• Experience implementing Secure by Design principles.
• Knowledge of MOD security assurance processes and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with development teams and third-party suppliers.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
