Job description

Play a key role in delivering one of the UK’s most significant rail infrastructure programmes. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure programme delivering complex underground civil engineering works in London. Working within the Completions & Transitions team, you’ll be responsible for managing project requirements and supporting Verification & Validation activities throughout the engineering lifecycle. This is a practical Systems Engineering role where you’ll work closely with design teams, construction teams and technical specialists to ensure requirements are effectively managed, verified and delivered. This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience of Requirements Management on large infrastructure projects who enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and seeing engineering solutions delivered on site.

What you’ll be doing As a Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Implementing the project’s Requirements Management Plan and associated processes. Managing project requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle using IBM DOORS. Working with design teams, construction teams, subcontractors and subject matter experts to allocate and manage requirements. Producing Verification & Validation Matrices (VVMs) to support assurance activities across design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover. Supporting requirements traceability and ensuring effective verification and validation of project deliverables. Monitoring and reporting on Requirements Management performance. Supporting continuous improvement of Requirements Management processes and ways of working. Building effective relationships across multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful delivery.About You

Requirements

You’ll be an experienced Systems Engineer with a practical approach to Requirements Management and Verification & Validation. We’re looking for candidates with: Experience of Systems Engineering with a strong focus on Requirements Management and Verification & Validation. Experience using IBM DOORS. Experience working on large infrastructure or civil engineering projects. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams. A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.Experience within the rail sector would be advantageous but is not essential.

Location: Euston, London (Hybrid - 2 days remote, 3 days onsite) Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 + £2,500 London Weighting Allowance + Excellent Benefits, What’s in it for you?
