Cloud Platform Team Manager

Lead a high-performing engineering team and take ownership of a critical cloud platform that underpins modern software delivery. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape platform direction, influence engineering practices, and drive secure, scalable cloud capabilities across the organisation., As a Cloud Platform Manager, you will lead and develop the Cloud Platform Engineering team to build, operate and evolve a secure, reliable and high-performing Azure platform.

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Cloud Platform Engineers, embedding a culture of continuous learning, engineering excellence, and high performance

• Provide hands-on technical leadership and architectural oversight across Azure, AKS, Terraform, CI/CD, observability and platform security

• Own platform reliability, scalability, resilience and cost efficiency, ensuring strong governance across networking, identity, monitoring and security baselines
• Drive roadmap planning, delivery prioritisation and governance, aligning platform engineering activity with organisational objectives and delivery frameworks
• Act as the primary point of contact for Cloud Platform Engineering, communicating progress and promoting adoption across technology and product teams

You’ll be an experienced cloud engineering leader with a strong blend of technical expertise, people leadership and delivery capability within complex technology environments.

• Strong Azure engineering expertise at scale, including core platform services such as networking, IAM, security, and policies
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and GitOps tooling such as Terraform, GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
• Deep understanding of SRE principles, observability and operational excellence in cloud environments
• Proven people leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, capability development and managing high-performing teams
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align across engineering, security and business teams
