QA /Tester - 12 - 18 month

Fixed Term Contract

Join a dynamic organisation at the forefront of payroll transformation, supporting a major public sector client through a critical payroll implementation project. This is an exciting FTC opportunity to be part of a high-impact team delivering vital payroll services on a fixed-term basis., You will be joining a recognised leader in payroll and HR solutions, working closely with a global technology provider specialised in cloud-based payroll systems. Operating within the public sector, the organisation has a dedicated team of professionals supporting major payroll transformations across complex environments, reporting directly to senior management and collaborating with key stakeholders. Their expertise lies in delivering innovative solutions that streamline payroll operations and ensure compliance, making a significant impact on client operational efficiency., * Execute payroll and system test cases, meticulously recording outcomes and evidence for audit readiness

  • Support payroll scenario testing around starters, leavers, salary changes, statutory payments, deductions, and retros
  • Assist in payroll comparison testing, parallel runs, and validation of outputs against legacy systems
  • Log defects accurately, supporting investigation and retesting to ensure issues are swiftly resolved
  • Collaborate with payroll specialists, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with project milestones and quality standards
  • Support the preparation of test reports, compliance documentation, and handover materials for smooth transition to BAU

Requirements

  • Proven experience in payroll testing, system implementation, or operational support
  • Excellent attention to detail with a disciplined approach to test execution
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple test scenarios and deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly and professionally
  • Confident in handling sensitive payroll and employee data in line with data protection standards
