Job description

The Oracle Health Data Intelligence organization builds and operates the data processing and intelligence platforms that power Oracle Health applications, national healthcare systems, and health analytics products supporting more than 500 million patients worldwide.Within HAIDP, the Agentic Apps-HAIDP & RES team owns a broad, business-critical portfolio across Oracle Health. The team is responsible for Health AI Data Platform capabilities, Rules Execution Service, Federal VA initiatives, Disaster Recovery build and support, New Federal OCI regional build work, Medical Device and regulatory readiness, RES enhancements, and the Agentic AI Data Platform roadmap. Over the next 18 months, the team’s scope will continue to expand across platform modernization, Federal VA delivery, OnPrem to OC3 migration, VA Fed DR development and testing, regional build support, modular AI-first architecture, regulatory scope reduction, EHR workflow integration, and delivery of AI Agent Health capabilities into FY27 and beyond. This role requires engineers who can take ownership of ambiguous, high-impact problems; understand platform, customer, and operational impact; collaborate across teams; and drive work from design through implementation, validation, and production readiness. What you will do: Participate and contribute to design discussions to build distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems. Implement and build cloud services on top of the modern OCI infrastructure. Participate in the entire software lifecycle, from design to development, to quality assurance, and to production. Invest in the best engineering and operational practices upfront to ensure our software quality bar is high. Optimize data processing pipelines to improve throughput and latency. Leverage industry-leading tools at OCI to develop, build, deploy, and troubleshoot software. What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline required. Experience with distributed data processing systems (e.g. Hadoop, Kafka). Hands on experience writing code with modern procedural programming languages such as Java and Python. Good understanding of design concepts and ability to design software components in a distributed system. Effective communication of technical ideas verbally and in writing, including technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams, and presentations. Ability to collaborate effectively with the team and other stakeholders. 8+ years of relevant experience Demonstrated competence as a technical lead of a non-trivial SaaS/IaaS project spanning multiple functional areas, involving up to 10 engineers.

Requirements

We’re looking for highly skilled experienced engineers to design and build high-scale, cloud-based data processing systems that ingest and transform massive amounts of data at low latency. You will work in software engineering teams performing design, implementing code, testing, delivering software to customers, and continue supporting the software in production., Experience with production operations including deployment, monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting issues when they arise. Experience with containerized service development and operations. Production experience with Cloud service providers (e.g. OCI, AWS, Azure). Experience with partnering with managers and other stakeholders to define the technical culture and processes of SW engineering teams. Experience with mentoring and growing junior engineers.
