Job description

We are always on the lookout for people who share our passion for connecting the dots to help brands make informed decisions.Data Engineer, We’re seeking a data engineer to join our data team at Kadence. You’ll serve as the primary subject matter expert for data engineering where you’ll lead the design and maintenance of our data systems. This is a hands-on role working primarily with AWS cloud services, APIs, and other data services where you’ll guide the evolution of our data pipelines to facilitate efforts to scale and comply with data privacy standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines for data processing workflows
  • Leverage AWS services to build scalable, reliable data solutions
  • Integrate with third-party APIs and manage data synchronization
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure issues
  • Collaborate with team members on data requirements and technical solutions
  • Document data processes and technical implementations
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate AWS services for data engineering needs

Requirements

  • Strong familiarity with the AWS suite of services for data engineering
  • Hands-on experience with core AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora, Glue, Athena, and Redshift
  • Experience with additional AWS services like SES, API Gateway, CloudWatch, Step Functions, and EventBridge
  • Proficiency in SQL and database design principles
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs
  • Understanding of data modeling and ETL best practices
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code
  • Experience with version control (Git)
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Good communication skills for technical collaboration
  • Python proficiency is a major plus and highly valued for this role
  • Ideally completed the AWS Certified Data Engineer certification
  • Ideally has experience building and maintaining pipelines involving sensitive data (e.g. healthcare data), * Bachelor’s (Required)
