Job description
The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving the organization’s security posture across systems, endpoints, identities, and cloud services. This role triages and responds to security events, supports security tooling and controls, and partners with IT teams to reduce risk and maintain compliance with applicable requirements., * Monitor and investigate security alerts and events; validate findings, determine impact, and document outcomes.
- Support security compliance activities (SOC2, HIPAA, CMS, and other applicable requirements) by collecting evidence, maintaining controls documentation, and assisting with audits and assessments.
- Manage information security tickets and cases, ensuring timely triage, clear communication, and appropriate escalation.
- Administer and tune security tools and controls, leveraging Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 security capabilities where applicable.
- Develop security awareness training and adoption materials.
- Maintain knowledge repositories by documenting incidents, resolutions, standard procedures, and security best practices.
- Create and maintain reports and metrics to measure risk posture, control effectiveness, and the impact of security initiatives.
- Share knowledge and provide mentoring to junior staff on tools, processes, and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, equivalent experience, or industry certifications such as Security+, AZ-500, SC-200, CEH.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, or a related technical role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, identity and access concepts, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and incident response fundamentals.
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft security tooling such as Defender and Purview; ability to create detections, perform investigations, and support response actions., * Do you have working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, identity and access concepts, endpoint security, vulnerability management and incident response fundamentals?
