Job description

  • You own the technical platform through which wetter.com delivers weather & climate data products to B2B & B2C customers
  • You develop and operate innovative products together with our backend team, data scientists, or product owners (e.g. public and private APIs, webhooks, ML training & prediction pipelines, AI pipelines)
  • You participate in full SDLC - from conception through prototyping to production
  • You define, set up, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern cloud infrastructure
  • You actively shape the evolution of our data and AI distribution architecture and evaluate necessary tools and technologies, * Ownership of your own projects, with the freedom to develop and implement your ideas and concepts

Requirements

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or an equivalent qualification
  • You have at least 2-3 years of experience in setting up and operating infrastructure and pipelines on AWS cloud
  • You have strong Python programming skills and hands-on experience with AWS Serverless
  • You are familiar with tools such as Spark, Terraform and Databricks
  • You have experience and/or strong interest in API design, developer experience (developer portal, webhooks) and shipping data-driven products to external customers - ideally with hands-on experience in Node.js/TypeScript
  • You already code and automate with AI, and you enjoy applying AI/LLM frameworks to build faster and smarter
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • You are motivated to take ownership, enjoy knowledge sharing and experimenting with new approaches
