Job description

Location: Must reside within 50 miles of a NASA Center, or be willing to relocate at your own expense prior to start. This is non-negotiable - remote work outside this radius will not be considered. Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. federal government contract and requires U.S. citizenship. Only U.S. citizens will be considered; Altech Solutions is unable to sponsor work visas or consider candidates without U.S. citizenship for this role. About Altech Solutions Altech Solutions LLC is a federal IT services company supporting NASA’s AEGIS contract as a Leidos subcontractor, providing cyber, field support, and data analytics capabilities across 6 of NASA’s 10 centers., We’re hiring IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Technical Engineers to provide architectural leadership, technical direction, and hands-on implementation for a secure, scalable, high-performing MAS environment supporting NASA’s Enterprise operations. You’ll work directly with cross-organizational NASA leadership, stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to shape Enterprise integration standards - this covers both platform ownership (installs, patching, Linux, OpenShift) and integration architecture (MIF, APIs, security). What You’ll Do

  • Lead installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting for MAS
  • Lead technical design of Enterprise integration architecture supporting NASA Enterprise systems
  • Lead implementation and configuration of secure API management and authentication standards; define API messaging, error handling, and monitoring strategies
  • Apply advanced knowledge of IBM Maximo architecture, automation scripting, and the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), including REST API integrations
  • Develop and maintain complex MAS configuration scripting across multiple environments
  • Administer advanced Linux systems supporting MAS - scripting, operations, and performance management
  • Work within OpenShift Container Platform for Enterprise Maximo deployments
  • Configure and support Maximo Mobile, including SSO authentication and MAF configuration
  • Manage MAS user synchronization with Microsoft Entra ID
  • Build BI reporting via BIRT and Power BI, including multi-org/multi-site row-level security
  • Develop automation scripts in Python, XML, JavaScript, and JSON
  • Present project status and technical recommendations to NASA executive, leadership, and center-level teams
  • Track and manage technical issues via Jira Service Management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of hands-on IBM Maximo technical engineering experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in Maximo architecture, MIF, automation scripting, and REST API integrations
  • Advanced Linux administration, scripting, and performance management
  • Hands-on MAS installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and patching experience
  • Strong understanding of OpenShift and containerized enterprise deployments
  • Expertise with reporting needs (BIRT, Power BI) and data modeling
  • Working knowledge of Maximo Mobile, SSO solutions, and MAF configuration
  • Proficiency in Python, XML, JavaScript, and JSON for automation scripting
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; proven ability to interface with cross-functional technical and leadership teams
  • U.S. citizenship (required for this federal contract)
  • Ability to pass a federal background investigation for Public Trust clearance
  • Located within 50 miles of a NASA Center, or willing to relocate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting NASA or another federal Enterprise Maximo environment
  • Experience designing and maintaining Enterprise-level integration architectures
  • IBM Maximo Certified Deployment Professional or IBM Certified Administrator
  • Familiarity with MAS licensing models, user synchronization methods, or large-scale environment deployments
  • Experience with performance tuning, high-availability configurations, or MAS observability tools
  • Experience with IBM TRIRIGA or Maximo Real Estate & Facilities (MREF)
