Job description

We are on the lookout for a passionate and strategic Director of IT to lead our technology initiatives and infrastructure.   • Oversee the management of IT infrastructure including cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, virtualization technologies such as vSphere, and network systems including MPLS, VPNs, DNS, and firewall security.
  • Lead the design and deployment of enterprise applications utilizing technologies like Angular, React, Node.js, PHP, JavaScript, .NET, Java, C#, and Python to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal service delivery for hardware, software, and cloud services.
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place by adhering to standards like PCI compliance, NIST guidelines, network security protocols, and implementing disaster recovery plans.
  • Promote best practices in system administration, change management, IT governance, and compliance standards across all technology operations.
  • Drive innovation through emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning to improve data analysis capabilities and business insights.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in project management efforts using Agile methodologies to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
  • Maintain oversight of databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, data warehouses, ETL processes, and application development environments.
  • Support business continuity planning by designing resilient IT systems that ensure uninterrupted service during outages or disasters.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale IT operations within diverse organizational settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure along with virtualization tools like vSphere.
  • Strong background in network administration including LAN/WAN management, VPNs, DNS configuration, MPLS networks, SAN storage solutions, and network security measures.
  • Hands-on experience with software development using frameworks like React Express or Angular combined with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, PHP or .NET.
  • Familiarity with enterprise databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), data warehousing concepts (ETL), and API integrations.
  • Deep understanding of information security principles aligned with NIST standards along with risk management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively using Agile project management techniques while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear strategies for senior leadership and stakeholders.
