Job description

We are seeking a Data Engineer to develop and operationalize data pipelines supporting reporting and advanced analytics. This role focuses on data ingestion, transformation, validation, pipeline optimization, orchestration, and collaborating with DevSecOps teams to support CI/CD processes.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL expertise, ETL development experience, and hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Teradata.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand data extraction requirements from data analysts and business stakeholders.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain ETL processes using Snowflake, Teradata, or similar platforms.
  • Write complex SQL queries for data analysis and standard data extracts.
  • Investigate data quality issues, identify anomalies, and communicate findings to internal teams and third-party partners.
  • Review complex data mappings and troubleshoot data integration issues.
  • Support development teams in implementing data-related fixes and enhancements.
  • Optimize and maintain data pipelines for performance and reliability.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, and DevSecOps teams on enterprise data initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 1+ years of hands-on SQL development experience.
  • Experience developing ETL pipelines using Talend, Informatica, or similar ETL tools.
  • Experience working with Snowflake, Teradata, or comparable cloud data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Data ingestion
  • Data transformation
  • Data validation
  • Data quality processes
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as:
  • Python
  • Java
  • JavaScript
  • C#
  • Familiarity with big data environments and distributed data processing is preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Healthcare domain experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data integration projects.
  • Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern ETL architectures.

Benefits & conditions

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
