Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented SAP Production Planning Business Analyst to support a large-scale SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA transformation within a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will serve as the key liaison between Operations stakeholders and technical implementation teams, translating business requirements into scalable SAP solutions that optimize manufacturing processes and improve operational efficiency., * Support the implementation and optimization of business processes during an enterprise SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA transformation.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and IT teams to gather, analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements.
- Translate business and operational requirements into clear functional specifications for SAP implementation teams and technical partners.
- Support Production Planning, Production Execution, Internal Logistics, and Quality business processes through SAP solutions.
- Coordinate and execute testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to ensure system functionality meets business requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend best practices to increase operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain business process documentation, workflow diagrams, testing documentation, and functional specifications.
- Train end users on new SAP functionality and business processes while supporting organizational change management and user adoption.
- Track project activities, deliverables, risks, and issues using project management tools such as Jira.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and adoption of SAP business processes.
- Support integration efforts between SAP and manufacturing systems, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), when applicable.
- Assist project leadership with implementation planning, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has strong experience in SAP Production Planning (PP), ERP-driven manufacturing processes, and cross-functional collaboration. This role will support Production Planning, Production Execution, Internal Logistics, and Quality functions while helping drive system implementation, testing, training, and user adoption. This is an excellent opportunity to play a critical role in an enterprise-wide digital transformation within a highly regulated industry., * 3-5+ years of hands-on SAP experience with a strong emphasis on Production Planning (PP) is required.
- Proven experience supporting Production Planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and how they support manufacturing operations.
- Experience with Batch Management is highly preferred and considered critical for success in this role.
- Experience supporting SAP implementations, upgrades, or SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
- Working knowledge of one or more SAP functional modules, including:
- SAP Production Planning (PP)
- Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS)
- Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
- Quality Management (QM)
- Production Planning for Process Industries (PP-PI)
- Experience gathering business requirements, facilitating workshops, and translating operational needs into technical solutions.
- Experience coordinating testing activities, validating system functionality, and supporting end-user acceptance.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), and Jira is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced project environment., * Experience working in Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting change management initiatives, end-user training, and process improvement projects.
- Understanding of manufacturing best practices, quality systems, and regulated production environments.
- Previous experience participating in enterprise ERP transformation projects is highly desirable.
