Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- 7+ years of systems engineering experience supporting complex Department of Defense acquisition or combat systems programs.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, requirements development, requirements traceability, and verification processes.
- Experience supporting the AN/BYG-1 Combat System or comparable Navy combat systems.
- Familiarity with Agile and SecDevOps software development methodologies.
- Experience using JIRA for requirements, feature, and issue management.
- Experience reviewing technical documentation, specifications, engineering artifacts, and software baselines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief technical information to senior government leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines, contractors, and government stakeholders.
Desired Experience:
- Experience supporting government programs or Navy submarine combat system programs.
- Experience serving as a technical lead or working group chair.
- Familiarity with Capability Development Documents (CDD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), Product Specifications (PSPEC), System/Subsystem Specifications (SSS), System Requirements Specifications (SRS), and Use Case development.
- Experience supporting Technical Direction Authority (TDA) organizations.
- Knowledge of AN/BYG-1 software components including TCS, PCS, Information Assurance (IA), CIS, CWL, MTWS, Applications, and Non-Developmental Items (NDIs).
- Experience supporting Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience supporting Integration, Verification, and Certification (IVC) activities.
- Previous submarine combat systems, undersea warfare, or Navy operational experience.
