Job description

SUMMARY: MetroNational is modernizing its data and analytics capabilities to foster a data-driven culture. We are seeking a skilled Data Visualization & Analytics Engineer to join our data management team. This role plays a key part in delivering MetroNational’s analytics experience by translating data into clear, intuitive, and actionable visual solutions. The role combines strong data understanding with a focus on visualization, dashboard design, and web-based analytics delivery. Working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and product partners, this position is responsible for building dashboards, interactive applications, and data-driven experiences that make insights accessible and useful across the organization. The ideal candidate brings both analytical rigor and a strong eye for visual design, with a focus on creating solutions that are easy to use, tell a clear story, and support better decision-making., * Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and interactive analytics applications that communicate insights clearly and effectively across corporate and property groups.

  • Translate business questions and data patterns into intuitive visualizations and user-friendly analytics experiences.
  • Develop and maintain web-based analytics solutions, including embedded dashboards, lightweight applications, and visualization components.
  • Partner with the Application Development team to ensure data is structured and exposed in a way that supports effective visualization and use.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data and present findings through clear and effective data storytelling.
  • Establish and promote standards for dashboard design, usability, and visual consistency across analytics solutions.
  • Work directly with stakeholders to iterate on solutions and improve adoption, ensuring analytics tools are useful and easy to use.
  • Integrate AI-enabled capabilities into dashboards and analytics applications, exploring ways to surface insights and improve decision-making through AI.
  • Support ongoing enhancements, performance improvements, and usability updates across existing dashboards and analytics applications.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to design clear, intuitive, and visually effective dashboards and data experiences.
  • Proficiency with modern visualization tools such as Domo, Power BI, or Tableau, including embedding or integrating them into broader applications.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis concepts, with the ability to explore and understand data patterns.
  • Experience building or supporting web-based analytics experiences, including exposure to frameworks such as React or similar front-end technologies preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data storytelling and how to guide users toward insights through design and interaction.
  • Demonstrated interest in applying AI within analytics and visualization experiences, with a willingness to experiment, learn, and incorporate AI-driven insights into dashboards, applications, and workflows where they create business value.
  • Ability to translate business needs into practical, user-friendly solutions, balancing analytical depth with usability.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on consistency, usability, and adoption across analytics solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile and SDLC methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously., * Bachelor’s degree, advance degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering within complex organizations.
  • Experience in Real Estate and Property Management industry is a plus.
