Job description
- Serve as Product Owner for a Databricks-focused development team within the Insurance Products & Benefits ART
- Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog aligned to business objectives and roadmap
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria
- Partner closely with architects and engineers to shape data lake design, ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers
- Lead Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
- Drive end-user engagement, including feedback sessions and validation of delivered capabilities
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure data solutions
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, data engineering, and platform teams
- Monitor and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies across the ART
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve data usability, accessibility, and product capabilities
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in Agile environments
- Experience working within Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar enterprise Agile models
- Strong understanding of data platforms, data lakes, and modern data architecture concepts
- Hands-on experience working with or supporting teams using Databricks or similar technologies
- Experience in healthcare/insurance domain, preferably with insurance products, benefits, or plan build processes
- Proven ability to write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage backlogs effectively
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience facilitating collaboration between technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and data engineering ecosystems
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and data governance practices
- Experience supporting data-driven product development or analytics use cases
- Background in Medicare/Medicaid or payer systems
- Experience with user-centered design, conducting user interviews, or usability sessions
- Experience with Jira Align and Azure DevOps
- SAFe PO/PM certification or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
