Job description
Kwik Trip’s Data Engineering team is growing! We’re looking for a Data Engineer II who thrives on solving complex data challenges and building scalable infrastructure. If you’re passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you. What You’ll Do
- Build, test, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures
- Develop real-time integrations and troubleshoot data infrastructure issues
- Evaluate and implement emerging data technologies
- Create and maintain technical documentation and data flow diagrams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
- Analyze data for trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities
- Support data transformation, metadata management, and workload orchestration
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational and big data databases
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or R
- Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS, Talend)
- Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, and stream processing technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Excellent communication skills
Bonus Points
- Experience with natural language processing or statistical modeling
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and source control best practices
