Job description

Our government client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (IT Production Support) to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise application environments. The role involves Oracle WebLogic administration, DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud services, application deployments, performance tuning, and production support., * Install, configure, administer, patch, and support Oracle WebLogic, Oracle HTTP Server, and enterprise middleware environments.

  • Deploy and troubleshoot JAR, WAR, and EAR files in standalone and clustered environments.
  • Monitor JVM, thread pools, connection pools, CPU, memory, and application performance.
  • Analyze logs, thread dumps, JVM dumps, and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Configure SSL/HTTPS certificates and maintain secure environments.
  • Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
  • Support Kubernetes (AKS, ARO) and cloud environments.
  • Perform disaster recovery testing and maintain documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, DBAs, infrastructure, and networking teams.
  • Support enterprise applications including Tableau, OpenText, HP Quality Center, Xerox DocuShare, and other COTS applications.
  • Monitor batch jobs, system alerts, and provide production support.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation and application inventories.

Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of Oracle WebLogic administration in enterprise Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience with:
  • Oracle WebLogic Server
  • Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)
  • Oracle Solaris/Linux and Windows Server
  • Kubernetes (AKS, ARO)
  • Cloud Services
  • DevOps & CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Java/J2EE (Servlets, JSP, EJB)
  • Oracle RDBMS
  • Unix Shell Scripting and Python
  • SSL/HTTPS
  • IBM MQ
  • Experience with application deployments, change management, and version control.
  • Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support experience.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Oracle OBIEE / Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)
  • Oracle Reports Server
  • Oracle Solaris Zones/Containers, LDOMs, ZFS
  • Tableau, OpenText, HP Quality Center, Xerox DocuShare, ESRI ArcGIS
  • Experience in enterprise or government environments.
