Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PC-DMIS Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing and quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining precise measurement programs using PC-DMIS software to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality. Your expertise will directly contribute to streamlining inspection processes, enhancing measurement accuracy, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production lines. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about precision engineering, software integration, and innovative measurement solutions., * Develop and execute measurement programs within PC-DMIS software to inspect complex components and assemblies with high precision.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards for accurate program creation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement equipment, software errors, or data discrepancies to maintain seamless inspection workflows.
  • Optimize measurement routines for efficiency, repeatability, and scalability across various projects and product lines.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of measurement procedures, calibration records, and program versions for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Support calibration activities by verifying equipment accuracy and implementing necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Stay current with advancements in PC-DMIS features, metrology best practices, and industry standards to continually improve inspection capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in PC-DMIS software for programming Hexagon Arm probe and scanner with a strong understanding of measurement strategies.
  • Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure related to measurement systems, including hardware integration and network connectivity.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or VBA to automate inspection routines or customize software functionalities.
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks like JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular) for developing user interfaces or data visualization tools related to measurement data.
  • Understanding of system design principles for scalable systems that support high-volume inspection processes within cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs for integrating PC-DMIS with other enterprise systems such as ERP or manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Expertise in software engineering concepts including design patterns, microservices architecture, version control (GitHub, SVN), CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment of measurement solutions.
  • Strong grasp of database management using SQL or MySQL for storing measurement data and generating reports.
  • Experience with front-end development tools like JavaScript frameworks (React Express) to create intuitive dashboards for real-time inspection results.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies to facilitate iterative improvements and cross-functional collaboration in project teams.
