Job description
As Senior Systems Engineer, you will provide technical leadership throughout the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, integration, verification, and sustainment. You will develop and maintain system architectures for defense and training platforms, lead modernization efforts involving legacy systems and emerging technologies, and collaborate with software, hardware, test, and program engineering teams to ensure successful system integration. This role includes evaluating system performance to improve reliability and maintainability, leading technical reviews and engineering trade studies, and troubleshooting system level issues involving hardware, software, networking, and interfaces. You will also mentor junior engineers, support customer demonstrations, and contribute to technical documentation, integration testing, and system validation activities.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret or higher security clearance, with investigation completed within the past 5 years
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain required Special Access authorizations
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another related technical discipline
- 8+ years of systems engineering experience supporting complex defense, aerospace, or mission critical programs
- Strong background in systems integration, architecture development, and technical problem solving
- Experience leading technical efforts within multidisciplinary engineering organizations
- Ability to support occasional travel and extended work schedules when program requirements dictate
