Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Radio Systems Administrator to join our team, offering a flexible work arrangement with 50% remote capabilities and less than 10% CONUS travel. In this pivotal role, you will perform the administration, data integrity checks, and cross-functional coordination of our radio systems, ensuring seamless tactical communications and robust data management across the entire radio system environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Support coordination efforts to continuously update, maintain, and validate critical operational data
· Coordinate directly with field personnel to assist in planning and executing comprehensive system and data updates
· Accurately update radios within the platform with designated call signs and organize structural folders with radio user profiles
· Collaborate closely with Taccom staff to implement, manage, and coordinate essential updates to the alias database for communication consoles
· Follow established processes for data backup, secure storage, and historical tracking to preserve system auditing
· Utilize technical policies, operational procedures, and work instructions to maintain a robust records management framework
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network/Telecommunications Engineering or a related field AND 4+ years of work experience, OR Master’s and 2+ years of experience, OR Associate and 6+ years of experience, OR High School diploma/GED and 8+ years of experience
· Experience operating as an IT Systems Engineer or Network & Systems Administrator within a complex radio enterprise environment
· Experience performing large-scale data updates, tracking historical changes, and managing alias databases or configurations across distributed teams within radio systems
· Proven ability to execute reliable data backup, storage, and long-term records management procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior experience administering or coordinating within Motorola products or closely related tactical management suites
· Experience working with and maintaining formal technical policies, compliance procedures, and organizational guidelines for federal or regulated systems
Security Clearance Requirements:
· U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance and maintain agency suitability prior to starting this position, * Radio systems administration: 4 years (Required)
