Job description

  • Review wiring diagrams and system drawings to verify proper installation.
  • Commission new fuel systems through inspections, testing, and startup.
  • Perform pressure, leak, functional, and performance testing on pumps, valves, piping, controls, and related equipment.
  • Identify deficiencies, troubleshoot system issues, and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, electronic, PLC, HMI, and control system faults.
  • Support connections between fuel systems, network communications, and Building Management Systems.
  • Prepare accurate commissioning, startup, and service reports.
  • Train customers and operations personnel on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain service vehicles, tools, equipment, certifications, and technical knowledge.
  • Travel as needed, including occasional overnight and after-hours work.
  • Work safely and follow company, customer, OSHA, EPA, DEQ, NEC, and NFPA requirements.
  • Maintain professionalism and protect confidential company and customer information.
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers, customers, vendors, and manufacturers.

Requirements

This role is ideal for someone with experience working with low-voltage electrical systems, bending conduit, pulling wire, making terminations installing supports and leading a crew in industrial or mission-critical new construction environments., * Associate degree, technical certification, or higher in mechanical, electrical, or a related field.

  • Experience with petroleum or industrial system commissioning, maintenance, or operations preferred.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, PLC, relay logic, and process control systems.
  • Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools.
  • Comfortable working at remote sites, active construction areas, and critical facilities.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Fluent in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Valid REAL ID driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical certificate.
  • Willing to travel approximately 50-95% based on project needs.
  • Willing to complete required certifications, safety training, and continuing education.
  • Committed to maintaining technical expertise and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Describe your experience reading and working from P&IDs, wiring diagrams, system drawings, and manufacturer documentation.
