Job description

The Circuit Provisioning Analyst will support the planning, coordinating, ordering, tracking, and ensuring compliance of voice and data circuits from inception to installation. The Circuit Provisioning Analyst will coordinate with the network, voice, and cyber engineers to ensure circuits are turned over or installation and operations and maintenance.

Major Activities

  • Plan, coordinate, track and ensure that voice and data circuits are provisioned and installed on time at source and destination with clear demarcation.
  • Receive orders for dedicated voice, data, and internet services for the purpose of provisioning those services via DS1, DS3, OC3, OC12, MPLS, SIP, IPSec; and other high-capacity digital services.
  • Review and approve invoices for new circuits and coordinate activities from engineers, vendors, and destination personnel, such as IMOs.
  • Verify the order paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and leverage subject matter expertise when deciding the correct paths, vendors and equipment to be utilized.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Update circuits tracking databases and trouble management systems.
  • Provide timely and thorough communication regarding issue status/resolution with vendors, destination POCs, and other stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain circuit documentation (e.g., Circuit IDs, Destination and Source information, Vendor information, and Circuit POCs).
  • Perform quality assurance audits.
  • Assist with the creation and analysis of Circuit Provisioning status reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Voice Technologies, such as VOIP/SIP.
  • Advanced understanding of the following technologies: TCP/IP, Routing, and Switching.
  • Knowledge of Windows/Linux OS and computer architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience with a structured Trouble Ticket system.
  • Expert in the creation of Circuit Provisioning reports.
  • Good interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, affiliated-company employees as well as outside business associates; exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others.
  • Superior organizational, follow-up, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Work independently, as well as on a team and with minimal supervision.
  • Make decisions, solve problems, and exercise excellent judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including thorough knowledge of proper grammar, advanced vocabulary, spelling, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and industry-standard computer software and databases.
  • High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information.

Physical Abilities

  • Sufficient fine motor skills for the use of computers, calculators with an ability to withstand repetitive keyboarding for extended periods of time.
  • Visual and communications ability are adequate to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to kneel, bend and twist at the waist on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to reach below shoulder height with regular frequency (desk position) and at or above shoulder height on occasion.
  • Ability to push, pull, carry and lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis, and greater weights on an occasional basis., * High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • Five or more years of experience in telecommunications
  • Microsoft Teams and Office 365 experience
  • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
  • Must be U.S. citizen
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
