Job description

The ideal candidate is comfortable inheriting existing codebases, quickly understanding system architecture, improving maintainability, and building scalable solutions using Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL.

This is not a greenfield development position. A significant portion of the work involves understanding, maintaining, enhancing, and extending existing applications before developing new systems.

You will work closely with management to develop software that supports healthcare operations, including scheduling, billing, payroll, EVV, compliance, reporting, workflow automation, and internal business processes.

If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, writing clean and maintainable code, and making a meaningful impact on a growing organization, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of an existing Laravel-based application and continue its development.
  • Analyze, understand, document, and improve software developed by previous developers.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications using Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
  • Develop new modules and features that integrate seamlessly with existing applications.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production applications while maintaining system stability.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.
  • Collaborate with management to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Design efficient database structures and write optimized SQL queries.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of application architecture, APIs, and technical processes.
  • Participate in code reviews and recommend improvements to software architecture and development practices.
  • Manage source code using Git and participate in structured deployment processes.
  • Assist with planning, estimating, and implementing new projects and enhancements., Our software platform supports a growing healthcare organization and includes applications for:
  • Scheduling and workforce management
  • Billing and reimbursement
  • Payroll
  • Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)
  • Medicaid compliance
  • Reporting and analytics
  • Workflow automation
  • Internal business management tools

You will play a key role in expanding these systems while helping shape the long-term architecture of our technology platform.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to make a real impact by helping build the technology that powers a rapidly growing healthcare organization. You’ll have the autonomy to influence technical decisions, solve meaningful business challenges, and work on software that directly improves operations and customer service.

If you’re looking for more than just another coding job-and want to help build innovative software that makes a difference-we encourage you to apply.

Requirements

  • Strong professional experience developing applications with Laravel (required).
  • Strong proficiency with PHP 8+.
  • Experience with MySQL database design, optimization, and query development.
  • Strong JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 skills.
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and MVC architecture.
  • Experience maintaining and enhancing existing production applications.
  • Ability to quickly understand and work within an unfamiliar codebase.
  • Experience debugging complex applications and resolving production issues.
  • Proficiency with Git and GitHub.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
