Senior UX Designer

Gather Co is seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer to join our team in Laredo, TX. This role is responsible for leading the design of user-centered digital experiences across web and mobile applications. The successful candidate will work closely with product managers, software engineers, researchers, and business stakeholders to create intuitive, accessible, and engaging products that support business objectives and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the user experience design process from discovery through implementation.
• Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, information architecture, and user flows.
• Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and UI Designers throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Translate business and user requirements into intuitive design solutions.
• Maintain and expand the company’s design system and UX standards.
• Present design concepts, prototypes, and research findings to project teams and stakeholders.
• Analyze user feedback and product data to recommend design improvements.
• Ensure products meet accessibility standards and responsive design best practices.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on UX methodologies and design principles.
• Stay current with emerging UX trends, tools, and technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional UX design experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design methodology and successful digital products.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design software.
• Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design, usability testing, and accessibility principles.
• Experience developing wireframes, prototypes, and design systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing SaaS platforms, enterprise software, or business applications.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end development concepts.
• Experience using analytics tools to support design decisions.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience mentoring designers or leading UX initiatives.
• Experience working with cross-functional product teams.
