Director of Technology

The County of Washington is seeking to hire a Director of Technology to plan, direct and oversee the development, acquisition, design, implementation, and operation of the automated systems in support of County administrative departments and row offices, including the Board of Commissioners and the Court of Common Pleas; to manage the department’s staff and administrative functions, including procurement and vendor management; and to ensure that service and technical assistance necessary to accomplish the County’s objectives is being provided.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in information sciences or related field. Requires ten years in the Information Technology field, including technical work experience in systems and/or operations. Requires five years of progressively more responsible management experience, including supervisory experience. Familiarity with operating systems, networks, systems and application software. Advanced computer skills are necessary. Must have a thorough knowledge of basic computer operation, Office 365 and current PC Operating Systems. Must be familiar with database usage and reporting, as well as web site administration. A comprehensive knowledge of all phases of systems analysis, design, programming, testing, and implementation is necessary, as is the ability to develop detailed systems specifications and documentation.

Must have working knowledge of all IT related functions.
