Job description

iO Associates are supporting a growing financial services organisation on the appointment of an IT Security Analyst to help identify, remediate, and reduce security risk across networks, endpoints, servers, and core infrastructure. The role covers vulnerability management, patching, security monitoring, and support through audits and incident response., * Run vulnerability scanning, track findings, and drive remediation across infrastructure and end user environments

  • Investigate and resolve security vulnerabilities on networks, servers, workstations, and security appliances
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts (including SOC escalations)
  • Support penetration testing activity and manage exceptions through to closure
  • Assist with internal and external security audits, including evidence gathering and remediation of audit findings
  • Maintain and improve incident response and disaster recovery documentation from a security perspective
  • Manage security access monitoring for end users and support security policy enforcement
  • Work with third party vendors to meet security and compliance requirements
  • Recommend security enhancements and contribute to security standards, policies, and procedures
  • Support wider IT environment as needed (servers, desktops, network equipment, telephony, software deployment)

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science (or closely related discipline)
  • 5+ years in a similar security analyst role within a reputable financial services environment
  • Practical experience with vulnerability management and remediation workflows
  • Exposure to patch management, security monitoring, and audit support
  • Cloud experience preferred
  • CISSP preferred, * Comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to partner with IT and business teams
  • Awareness of compliance expectations in regulated environments (including BSA/AML, CTF, OFAC, and related internal policies)

Candidates must be based locally/happy to relocate as the role is onsite in NYC. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
