Job description

  • Configure, administer, maintain, and support Oracle GoldenGate 19c, 21c, and 23ai replication environments across Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and IBM Db2 LUW databases.
  • Manage Oracle GoldenGate Microservices Architecture, including Service Manager, Administration Server, Distribution Server, Receiver Server, and Performance Metrics Server.
  • Configure and support Integrated Extract, Integrated Replicat, Parallel Replicat, Data Pump, and Coordinated Replicat processes to ensure reliable and low-latency data replication.
  • Administer and maintain real-time heterogeneous replication solutions between Oracle and non-Oracle database platforms, ensuring data consistency and availability.
  • Support active-active, active-passive, bidirectional, and unidirectional replication topologies for high availability, disaster recovery, and data integration use cases.
  • Monitor replication health, performance, and throughput; proactively identify and resolve replication lag, process abends, trail file issues, checkpoint failures, and data synchronization discrepancies.
  • Perform GoldenGate patching, upgrades, migrations, configuration changes, and lifecycle management activities across development, test, UAT, and production environments.
  • Configure and maintain Oracle GoldenGate Veridata for data validation, reconciliation, consistency checks, and post-migration verification activities.
  • Ensure replication environments comply with enterprise security standards, including encryption, SSL/TLS, credential stores, auditing, and the protection of sensitive and regulated data, including PII.
  • Support data replication requirements involving highly regulated environments subject to PCI, SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, and other compliance standards.
  • Configure and maintain Oracle GoldenGate high-availability solutions using XAG (Oracle Grid Infrastructure Agent) and Oracle Clusterware.
  • Administer Oracle Grid Infrastructure environments, including Clusterware, ASM, SCAN listeners, Virtual IPs (VIPs), OCR, Voting Disks, and Grid resource management.
  • Support Oracle RAC environments, including cluster administration, failover validation, resource troubleshooting, and operational maintenance.
  • Coordinate and support GoldenGate integration with Oracle Data Guard, RAC, ASM, Exadata, and cloud-hosted database platforms.
  • Perform Oracle Database administration activities for Oracle 19c, 21c, and 23ai environments, including installation, patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8 and RHEL 9) environments, including operating system management, storage configuration, performance tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, implementation documentation, architecture diagrams, support runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Perform root cause analysis for replication and infrastructure incidents and implement corrective actions to improve platform stability and resiliency.
  • Collaborate with database, application, infrastructure, storage, network, and cybersecurity teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available replication services.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call support and production incident management activities while meeting defined service-level objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in Database Engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Database Engineering

  • Experience administering and supporting Qlik Replicate (formerly Attunity Replicate) for enterprise Change Data Capture (CDC) and real-time data integration.
  • Experience configuring and supporting Qlik Replicate across Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Db2 LUW, Snowflake, Kafka, and cloud data platforms.
  • Knowledge of Qlik Enterprise Manager for monitoring, alerting, task management, and operational support.
  • Experience troubleshooting CDC latency, endpoint connectivity, DDL propagation, schema mapping, and data consistency issues within Qlik Replicate environments.
  • Strong understanding of CDC technologies, transaction log-based replication, supplemental logging, and low-latency data movement architectures.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise replication environments consisting of hundreds of databases and replication processes.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Exadata, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Experience with automation technologies including Shell Scripting, Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
