Beaming Support Technician

As a Beaming BST, you will assist in ensuring compliance with legal, safety, health, and environmental regulations while demonstrating integrity and commitment to company principles. You will supplement yarn to beaming, work and monitor warper processes, troubleshoot systems, assist in quality investigations, deploy packing tare weight practices, assist in month end packing materials closure and manage general administrative tasks. You will also collaborate with various departments inside and outside the plant, maintain ISO standards, and utilize software tools like Excel, SAP, PowerBI and GLOSS. You will emphasize continuous improvement, safety participation, and meeting business objectives for the Beaming area.

The role is day based but may require some work to be done on nights and weekends, if needed., * Maintain yarn inventory to fulfill production schedules.

• Monitor warper processes and ensure continuity of production and quality of the product.
• Communicate with adjacent production areas, support organizations, and area personnel as needed.
• Create maintenance notifications in SAP.
• Troubleshoot area systems and contact support personnel as needed.
• Assist in quality investigations and training with normal operation as well as new equipment, systems, and technologies.
• Help manage administrative tasks such as overtime scheduling, vacation scheduling, ordering, and maintaining shift supplies.
• Utilize working knowledge of asset optimization, source yarn availability, warper and personnel availability, and maintenance down-time to assign orders to warpers.
• Maintain site scales ISO critical calibrations and use Power BI to review warper speeds and waste beams.
• Actively participate in incident investigations and safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operating procedures.
• Report data and track metrics to ensure that work and progress meet current business objectives.
• Support packing work processes including monitoring of tare weights and consumption of selected materials.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office 365 applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

• At least 3 years of experience working in the LYCRA beaming or spinning.
• Must acquire the following minimum WorkKeys scores:
• Applied Mathematics - 3
• Graphic Literacy - 4
• Workplace Documents - 3

Qualifications (Preferred):

• 4+ years of experience working in the LYCRA Beaming area.

• Experience with SAP, Power BI and GLOSS
• Qualified Safe Work Permit Issuer.
