Routing Assistant

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Routing Assistant to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will play a vital part in optimizing transportation routes, managing supply chain data, and supporting efficient freight operations. Your expertise will help streamline processes, improve delivery accuracy, and enhance overall supply chain performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and leverage advanced data analytics tools to drive smarter decision-making., * Assist in developing and maintaining transportation routes using transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP ERP, Oracle Transportation Management, and AS400.

• Collect, analyze, and visualize data related to road transportation operations, freight movements, and logistics performance using data visualization software and tools like Tableau.
• Conduct root cause analysis on transportation delays or inefficiencies, identifying opportunities for process improvement within supply chain transportation management.
• Support demand planning and supply chain analytics by mining data from various sources, including warehouse management systems and 3PL providers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics management, warehouse teams, and business analysts to optimize freight routing and transportation planning strategies.
• Assist in monitoring transportation KPIs through Excel data analysis and other data analytics tools to ensure continuous improvement of logistics processes.
• Contribute to research initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency through process improvement methodologies such as Lean.
• Build daily truck loads in our ERP system

• Proven experience with data analytics tools such as Tableau, SQL, Excel data analysis, and data visualization software proficiency.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including freight, logistics management, demand planning, and transportation planning.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems like SAP ERP or Oracle TMS, warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Knowledge of road transportation operations, 3PL coordination, and logistics processes within supply chain environments.
• Technical proficiency in data collection, mining, analysis skills, and process improvement techniques such as Lean methodologies.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams involved in supply chain activities.
• Ability to utilize data visualization software for reporting insights that support business analysis and decision-making.
• Experience working with logistics software such as SAP ERP or AS400 is a plus.
