SAP FI/CO Functional Lead

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO Functional Lead to play a key role in a company-wide SAP S/4HANA implementation within a manufacturing environment. This position serves as the primary owner of Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) processes, ensuring accurate financial integration, compliant accounting practices, and a stable month-end close at go-live.

The SAP FI/CO Functional Lead will partner closely with Finance leadership, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and external SAP implementation partners to translate financial and operational requirements into scalable SAP solutions. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, audit readiness, and confidence in SAP from day one.

What You’ll DoSAP FI/CO Design & Configuration

• Lead SAP S/4HANA FI/CO configuration, including:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Asset Accounting
• Cost Centers and Profit Centers
• Product Costing, Work in Process (WIP), and settlement
• Define and maintain the Chart of Accounts and financial structures
• Ensure financial design supports manufacturing operations, including inventory valuation and production costing

Cross-Functional Integration

• Partner with SAP MM, PP, and Logistics teams to ensure accurate financial postings across all transactions
• Own financial impacts related to:
• Procure-to-Pay (MM-FI)
• Production, WIP, and variances (PP-FI/CO)
• Inventory movements and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
• Validate end-to-end transaction flows from operations through financial reporting

Implementation & Testing

• Translate finance business requirements into SAP functional designs
• Support financial data migration, including master data and open balances
• Lead and support testing cycles, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Troubleshoot and resolve posting, valuation, and settlement issues

Close Readiness & Go-Live Support

• Prepare the organization for month-end and year-end close in SAP
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Partner with Finance leadership to validate financial reports, reconciliations, and financial outputs
• Serve as the primary SAP finance subject matter expert during go-live and hypercare

• 5+ years of SAP FI/CO experience in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance configuration
• Strong understanding of:
• Financial accounting principles
• Cost accounting and product costing
• Manufacturing inventory valuation
• Experience supporting at least one full-cycle SAP implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• Food & Beverage or regulated manufacturing experience
• Experience with batch costing, WIP settlement, and inventory valuation
• SAP FI/CO certification

Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year, * 401(k)
