Job description
We are seeking an initiative-taking and user-focused IT Manager. In this role you will bridge the gap between technical operations and business strategy; playing a crucial role in providing excellent support and resolving various IT-related issues for our internal and external users. This is a salary position based onsite in Bishop, Texas. Travel will be on occasion to our branches located in Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces Counties and Pasadena, Texas, as well as attending periodic meetings and conferences to better understand software., Technical Support. Provide support for staff including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware (desktops, laptops, printer and IP phone system support), software, active directory and permissions, network connectivity and other IT systems.
Vendor Liaison. Serve as the main point of contact for vendor provided services. Work with internet provider on any service issues or changes. Work with third parties interfacing with Core Processor and LAN.
Remote and On-Site Support. Provide remote and onsite support, as needed, to ensure minimal disruption to operations. Ability to travel to CFCU locations. Act as an escalation point providing sufficient levels of technical know-how to assist in root cause identification and resolution of issues utilizing a ticketing system.
Project Management. Manager end-to-end IT initiatives, including system implementations and upgrades to ensure smooth implementation and successful outcomes.
Research inefficiencies, emerging technologies and competitor landscape to stay ahead of the curve. Proactively seek out new and innovative solutions to deliver efficient and cost-effective systems to meet evolving business needs.
Asset Administration. Keep current record of all physical IT assets. Assess infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands and recommend retirement of assets, as needed. Aid in development of new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow, and improve the end-user experience.
Platform Administration. Manage CFCU-wide software and hardware platforms, including users, performance, updates, and outages in collaboration with vendors. Collaborate with vendors to manage and implement the CFCU-wide cybersecurity plan.
Vendor and Budget Management. Allocate and manage IT budgets, negotiate contracts and oversee third-party service providers.
Requirements
The IT Manager responds to a range of issues related to computer systems and user support, by phone, email, remote access, and in-person. Duties include problem solving minor and major technical issues; installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting PCs, servers, and other equipment. The person in this role will need proficiency in the following:
· Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, OneDrive)
· Windows, Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy
· Entra, Conditional Access, Azure Administration, Intune
· PowerShell and Power Automate
· Azure
· Defender, Purview Portals, Remote Desktop and Patching
· Understanding of Networking Concepts, Hardware and SST
The person in this role should have strong customer service, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. Help Desk experience is a plus, · Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a closely related field or equivalent work experience.
· Minimum of 5 years’ related IT experience required.
· Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, firewalls and cloud environments.
· IT Certificates such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), MSCE or cybersecurity are preferred but not required.
· The ability to learn through research, technical certification and on-the job training.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills in hardware and software, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
· Excellent communication and documentation skills.
· Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, customer service, documentation, and communication skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively and work across all levels of the organization, both in writing and orally.
· Ability to self-manage, work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
· A team player with a “can do” attitude with a willingness to collaborate and share knowledge.
· Ability to work with external partners, including vendors.
· Position is primarily office based and requires prolonged work at a desk in one location, walking and standing.
· Light work; may require occasional light lifting.
· Nights and weekend activity is rare but will be occasionally required, typically with advance notice.
· Moderate travel is required.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance
· Ability to pass a background check and bondable. Must be in good standing with the Credit Union.
