Senior Storage Engineer

A rapidly growing AI infrastructure and cloud provider is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer to lead the design, operation, and evolution of large-scale storage platforms supporting next-generation GPU and AI workloads.This is a senior technical role with significant ownership and leadership responsibility. You will define storage architecture, influence engineering standards, and help scale storage environments from petabytes to tens of petabytes while working alongside world-class infrastructure and platform engineers.This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex distributed systems challenges, shaping technical direction, and building highly scalable cloud infrastructure from the ground up.+****ResponsibilitiesLead the design, deployment, and operation of large-scale distributed storage platforms.Own the storage roadmap, architecture, standards, and operational practices.Build and maintain highly available object, block, and file storage services.Scale storage environments from multi-petabyte to hyperscale deployments.Manage and optimise:CephFSRBDObject Storage platformsImprove automation, monitoring, observability, and operational tooling.Troubleshoot complex performance and reliability issues within distributed storage environments.Work closely with compute, networking, and platform teams supporting large-scale GPU clusters.Lead capacity planning, lifecycle management, upgrades, and platform expansion initiatives.Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and operational improvement programs.Mentor engineers through technical leadership, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.Drive best practices across storage operations and infrastructure engineering teams.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong experience operating large-scaleCephenvironments in production.Deep knowledge of:CephFSRBDExperience managing storage environments atmulti-petabyte scale.Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting experience.Solid understanding of:Storage performance tuningHigh-availability architecturesData durability and resilienceExperience with infrastructure automation and operational tooling.Strong networking knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed infrastructure issues.Experience supporting mission-critical production environments and on-call operations.#J-*****-Ljbffr

Strong experience operating large-scale Ceph environments in production. Deep knowledge of: CephFS RBD Experience managing storage environments at multi-petabyte scale . Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting experience. Solid understanding of: Storage performance tuning High-availability architectures Data durability and resilience Experience with infrastructure automation and operational tooling. Strong networking knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed infrastructure issues.
