Job description
A Graduate Hardware Design Engineer is sought to join an innovative engineering team in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, contributing to the design, development and validation of high-performance electronic hardware products.
The Graduate Hardware Design Engineer, Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, will be expected to develop your understanding in the field, learning from peers and senior engineers in technical areas and industry best practices. This will include gaining experience across the full hardware product lifecycle, from concept through to production.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the design and development of electronic hardware
- Creating schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer
- Testing, debugging and validating prototype and production hardware
- Using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes and digital multimeters
- Producing technical documentation and supporting product lifecycle activities
- Collaborating with software, mechanical, test and manufacturing teams
- Providing technical support for production and customers where required
Requirements
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB design
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Understanding of electronic circuit design and hardware debugging
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
